New Features

New Google Earth report that can show your routes if you entered multiple legs in the route field.

Along with this comes some new capabilities in reports that allow you to only display some text if a particular key has a value or not. For example:

<?ltp keypath=flight_totalTime; special=insertText; textValue=My Text; ?>

This would insert nothing in the report for flights with no time, but for any flight that did have time it would insert “My Text”.

You can also now access the first ten waypoints in your route as Place objects by using the keypath flight_waypoint1, flight_waypoint2, etc. So:

<?ltp keypath=flight_waypoint3.place_city; ?>

Would give you the city name of the third place in your route.

Improvements

Greatly improved ICS (iCal) exporting now better handles flights with no times, or with actual times instead of scheduled times.

The full size versions of the ASA, Canadian, JAR Compliant, Jeppesen, and UK Cap reports now include route data in the “To” column if available.

Updated the ICAO id for WRSJ Surabaya to WARR, and WRLL to WALL.

Minor enhancement to how On Time Performance is shown in the table view. We now show late times as a positive number prefaced with a “+” to indicate it was additional time, and early times are shown as negative.

Bug fixes

Default pay rates were not being set on new flights.

Setting the actual and scheduled IN times to the same value, could result in the “On Time” display showing an invalid result.

Early/late display was reversed so early flights were shown as “late” and late flights were shown as “early”.

iCal Support! You can now go to the Reports view and in the Exporters category you will find an option to create an industry standard ICS file. This can be used in almost any calendar software, however we automatically open iCal for you. Future edits to these flights, exported again, will simply update these calendar items as opposed to creating new entries the next time you import into iCal! Fully supports either UTC or Local times.

New Summary reports let you quickly you see your flights by City, State/Province, or Country.

New “Coradine International Logbook” report provides a great looking logbook that includes the key data needed to meet the requirements of most civil aviation authorities using just one format.

Two new fields provide useful data for tracking on time performance. The “On Time Performance” field shows either “On Time” or the number of minutes early or late you are for each flight, while the Actual – Sched field shows the value resulting from subtracting your scheduled time from your actual time which is useful for those who are paid based on one or the other and need to compare.

Places now show current date and time as well as indicate whether it’s day or night.

Improvements

The first time you create a new flight it will default to todays date, thereafter it will take the date of whatever flight is selected. Note that the up and down arrow keys increment and decrement the date by one day.

Several new options for how to diplay the result value for Smart Groups.

The Schedule importer now provides the ability to indicate, and remember, whether schedules are in local or zulu time, indepentently of the logbook preference for how times and dates are displayed.

Importing flights using the schedule importer now sets default values such as aircraft, pay rates and crew.

Completely re-written Cathay Pacific importer now handles more complex formats such as multiple flights on the same day, as well as adding support for DragonAir.

WestJet now uses the FLiCA schedule importer.

ASA importer now correctly support their FFDO format.

More custom notes fields, including “Flight Code” for military pilots.

People view now shows the total flight time with each person.

Total Earnings can now be manually entered, and should migrate correctly from version 4 even if you had not entered any hourly pay rates in version 4.

Adjusted Flight School report to improve formatting of emtpy rows.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue that could cause flight counts for people to be inaccurate.

Improved reliability of the Place and People picker windows, especially when working with multiple logbook documents.

Fixed a display issue with the “gear” pop-up buttons on the Flights, Aircraft, and Place views.

When right-clicking an item in the Aircraft or Places views the item text now changes to black to remain visible.

Fixed an issue that could cause an extra row to appear on the last page of reports when there was one more flight then would fit.

Fixed an issue that could prevent the entering of decimal values in hobbs, tach, and expenses in the table view.

Fixed an issue where the category menus in Smart Group criteria and in the Import window could show more then one instance of “Flight”.

The United scheduled importer now imports the correct times!

Fixed an issue where the Quick Entry tab would always show UTC times if you were using the Airline First Officer configuration.

Fixed an issue that could cause dates to be incorrect when importing flights in local time.

Fixed the Landings configuration tab – Arrests, Bolters, Catapults, and FCL’s were missing.

Improved migration of custom notes from version 4.

Smart Group criteria can now filter on P1 Night, P2 Night, P1 u/s Night, and Dual Night, as well as Total Landings.

Fixed an issue that could sometimes result in a time field in the table view showing 0000.

Special Crew time (military use) can now be greater then the total time of the flight.

Fixed an issue that could cause night time to be calculated incorrectly, especially for flights arriving the next day.

Fixed an issue where the ExpressJet schedule importer could import the wrong date.

Fixed an issue that could cause the visual date picker (mini calendar) to show the wrong month.

When entering expenses in the table view, the total now updates immediately.

Fixed an issue that could cause the total time to be set to zero when the From or To was changed and there were no OUT and IN times for the flight.

Fixed an issue that could cause duplicate people to be created when the preference was to display people by their ID.

Fixed an issue that could result in duplicate places when importing flights with route data.

Added support for an alternate American Airlines format to the Sabre – American schedule importer.
