This not only puts you in full control, but also creates a more robust and reliable sync experience: Import your schedule on the Mac, make an adjustment on your iPad, head to the airport and the flight is ready to go on your iPhone. You can then log further details enroute and when arriving home all the data will already be updated automatically on all your devices. Just like that.
